As your drive up the hill from Point 40 look to your right for the spot beside the road at the upper end of the guard rail. Enough space for about two cars. Not an officially built or maintained overlook, just a spot beside the road with a great view. Ok for cars and bikes. Great view of the Ozark hills, good place to watch sunsets. Be very careful when pulling back out onto the highway due to the blind curves in this spot. Be careful not to step into the grass as this spot grows a low-growing sticker that will get on your shoes and socks. In early morning chances are good you'll see thick mist clouds that mark the White River channel. A great spot to gawk at fall foliage!
