Photo 6 - Hillside Fall Foliage in the Ozark Mountains
Fall in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains
Hillside Views Photo 6 -  Along Hwy 341, Baxter County, Arkansas
A hillside a week before peek. Note the bare tree in the foreground with no leaves on the ground. What happened is this tree turned about 10 days prior to the trees above it on the hill. All its leaves blew off in a thunderstorm. Wind is what destroys a peak display almost every year. We've seen beautiful displays melt before our eyes in two hours during high winds - yet another reason we produce our report!
